Pepper would suit anyone who wants to jump! She has won lots of show jumping competitions. She is a solid and stocky pony
She has been ridden by everyone, from 6yo beginners to small adults. She has been used for beginner lessons, to competitions in show jumping, combined training and horse trials. Very relaxed out on trail, not phased by much
Kept barefoot - her hooves are tough as nails, and good to trim. She is a good doer, but has never had any laminitis, and has wonderful feet
Easy to catch, comes running up for a pat in the paddock, great to float
Pepper really excels in show jumping; she is a careful jumper and has great technique. She is very straight forward to jump, and will jump what ever you point her at. Has taken a young teen around her first show jumping courses at interschool’s, coming 3rd in a massive field at the show jumping at Yarrambat last year
Has jumped up to 75cm in competition and training up to 85cm at home. She is a fantastic sj'er and will go very fast if required, can make very tight turns and does flying changes
Pep has done some x-c and has jumped everything she has been pointed at
Her dressage work is coming along nicely, and she has commenced training basic lateral movements, has an amazing extended trot
Pepper would also be a great games pony - we set up a row of bending poles, and she did a flying change at each pole and was very quick through them!
She is very gentle with the little kids, and has taught a tiny 6yo to rise to the trot, but has plenty of get up and go when required. Ride her bareback, double dink, dress her up – she doesn’t mind at all!
Pepper is not very good to worm... I use a worming bit to get it into her
Looking for a home with either a confident and knowledgeable rider, OR a less experienced rider, but a horsey parent - as I believe even though her manners are perfect now, if she went to an inexperienced home without a knowledgeable person around she could become a bit bargey etc. Would best suit a rider that has the basics, and would like to learn to compete or improve their jumping
